Convention on the Rights of the Child and related optional protocols

This revised translation of the UN Convention stems from the need to highlight the great changes that have taken place in recent decades on a cultural, social and legal level in the entire spectrum of childhood and adolescence, following Italy's implementation of the Convention through Law no. 176 of 27 May 1991.

This is an updated edition of the Convention that, while remaining faithful to the original structure of the contents and values, is intended to be closer to the language of our times. Together with the text of the Convention, the three Optional Protocols (on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography; involvement of children in armed conflict; and complaints procedures) have also been translated and have been combined in a single document for the first time.
