National Documentation Centre

Since 1997, the Institute has managed the Centre's activities on the basis of the national guidance and coordination on childhood and adolescence policies of the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

Its main tasks are:

• Supporting the work of the National Observatories;

• Collecting, cataloguing and disseminating regulatory, statistical and bibliographic documentation produced in Italy on childhood and adolescence;

• Analysing and monitoring the condition of children and adolescents through the biennial Report to Parliament and the Outline Report to the UN on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child;

• Carrying out activities to promote and disseminate knowledge through events, seminars and training initiatives.
