This publication presents the activities and results of TALE (Tuscan Approach Learning for Early childhood education and care), the European training and innovative experimentation project carried out by the Istituto degli Innocenti (lead partner) with the collaboration of the University of Florence and some organisations of the International Step by Step Association network, from Bulgaria, Lithuania and Slovenia.
The project gambles on the prospect of integrating the classic training model as a research/action process against the exchange and comparison of experiences linked to different contexts and realities within the European international panorama.
From this point of view, the Tuscan Approach is not a model or a good practice to be replicated in other contexts, but the starting point of reflection on important aspects of the quality of educational services, of which the Tuscan experience is a possible interpretation.
